Such a beautiful hotel! Our room was gorgeous and kept spotlessly clean. A huge thanks to the staff who were so helpful and welcoming. Also, don't miss the breakfast—it set us up perfectly for the day."

A surprising hotel! From the outside it looks like another modern hotel in the middle of a city, but when you go inside everything looks different. The design, the furniture, the atmosphere of an old boutique hotel. And make no mistake! It is wonderfully maintained. A large part of the rooms are accessible rooms, so the doors are large, the passages are wide, and it includes special equipment in the showers for people with disabilities. (See the photos). The hotel has an excellent restaurant and bar and a staff that provides service with pleasure.

We spent two nights at the Indigo Hotel in Chester. Our room was clean, whimsical, and very comfortable. They left plenty of towels, tea, cookies, and a variety of waters (sparkling and flavored) in our room. We had a good breakfast both mornings. The continental had lots of savory and sweet options, and the cook was making eggs and things fresh, so our food was hot. A server brought us hot tea and checked in on us. Be sure to park in the Pepper Street car park. It is a short walk away next to the Roman amphitheatre. The hotel is near all the downtown attractions, restraurants, and Christmas Market. Once we parked our car, we left it there and explored on foot. We would absolutely stay here again!

I stayed with this hotel for a night with my partner and they made it super special for us. All the staff were super kind and helpful, the bartender Liam was particularly lovely. He was super charismatic and gave me a recipe to make an espresso martini which I’m really excited to try, and the cocktails he made us were so delicious. I would more than recommend a stay here. The hotel were also super accommodating to all of our requests

Stayed at Indigo in Chester for 12 nights this February (2026) - when visiting from Australia - and cannot praise it highly enough. I'm from Chester originally so know all the city centre hotels pretty well - at least I've stayed at The Grosvenor, Leonardo and Oddfellows among others. Check in was fast and friendly - which was ideal since I was early arriving after 24 hours flying. No wait for my room and the loveliest lady (Sophie) on the desk. The hotel interior is warm and inviting and stylish with a nice welcoming lobby and bar area adjacent to the destination restaurant. My room was big, bright and spotless with possibly the world's most comfortable (and huge) mattress. All the amenities are included - nice touch was the soft drinks and snacks which were included and replenished every day. The room service team were also lovely - everyone at the hotel is just so friendly which makes a nice change in a world of grumpy old farts! Nothing was too much hassle - a bucket of ice dropped off within minutes, room service in around 15 minutes, and the entire team were bright, articulate and good spirited. Even listening to them dealing with other guests on reception when I was waiting for my Uber made me think what a kind bunch of employees Indigo has managed to find. Oh and don't get me started on the restaurant...The Forge - is a destination in it's own right and has incredible steak and delicious food. I even heard Ryan Reynolds had visited for the steak when he was in Wrexham! The hotel is an 8 minute walk from Chester train station and the same into town. It's situated next to Grosvenor park (and the river Dee) and is a 5 minute walk if that to Waitrose, M&S, Boots, Primark, Starbucks etc. Anyway, in short I loved my stay and would stay again without a second thought. No comparison to my experiences as the other aforementioned hotels. Thank you!

2 night couples stay- bed & breakfast. Drop off and parking at Pepper Street was very straightforward. 6/7 mins walk back to the hotel. Don't forget on departure to get the reduced parking rate at Reception! Hotel location excellent- 5 mins walk into the centre. Staff all polite and attentive. Breakfast was really good- great selection of food. Room was very comfortable- special mention to the rain shower which was fantastic! Good pressure and quickly found comfortable temperature. Highly recommended & will definitely visit again. Thank you

I have stayed here half a dozen times or so over the past few years and have been consistently impressed with this hotel, so thought it was time for a review. A few of the highlights: - Staff are always friendly and helpful and there is always at least one person at reception. - Rooms are comfortable, immaculately clean and thoughtfully laid out. The decor style is a bit out there but it’s distinctive and Chester-themed and it’s definitely grown on me. - The minibar is well-stocked and FREE! Beer, wine, still & sparkling water, etc. - Locations is ideal: next to a lovely park and a few minutes away from the city centre. - The balcony rooms! I’ve only stayed in a top floor room once, but the balcony really added to the experience, with great views (see pics). All in all, this is a great hotel and I would highly recommend it!

Most of the Staffs were amazing we had a great, delicious dinner special thanks to Chloe, Steph, Liam, Shaun, Sophie, Luke and Chris. All had a smile on their faces which shows how much they cared for. Went for breakfast the next day, we were well looked after, thanks to Hein. Definitely will recommend it! Lovely stay.
